UDC to showcase its programs
(Published March 7, 2005)

The University of the District of Columbia will showcase its programs during the second annual "Community Day" March 22 at its Northwest Washington campus.

Activities will kick off at 10 a.m. in the university's auditorium at 4200 Connecticut Ave. NW and various special events will be held throughout the day until 7 p.m.

Campus tours will be offered, officials from every university department will be available to describe their programs and participants also may apply for admission and financial aid while on campus.

A "Healthy Living Fair" also will be held on campus in conjunction with Community Day.
Last year, officials said, more than 900 persons attended the event, which is especially aimed at attracting local high school sophomores, juniors and seniors to tell them about the academic opportunities available at the only public university in the District of Columbia.

More information about UDC Community Day is available by calling (202) 274-6333 or by visiting the university's Web site at www.udc.edu.
